Eagles finally got the chance to entertain Woodford, after last weeks postponement. Even with rain last night, the pitch held up extremely well and Eagles were able to play their rapid football. Although it took a few minutes for the players to find their feet, as soon as they did, it was full steam ahead. On 9 minutes Yasen got in behind the oppo's defence and cooly finished. The lead was doubled 2 mins later when again Yasen slotted home. The midfield, marshalled by Billy, was really starting to run the game and Fabio got on the scoresheet on 13 mins. The 4th & 5th came on 20 & 21st mins. Yasen scored his hat-trick and Fabio got his 2nd. The oppo got on the scoresheet on 22 mins. A free-kick was conceeded & Woodford scored directly from it, Daniel will be dissappointed not to have saved this. Fabio added his 3rd, bravely putting his body on the line in the process. Fabio had to be replaced. More chances followed but this would be the scoreline at half-time.
The boys continued in the same vein in the 2nd period. Yasen added his 4th on 44 mins another good finish. Jake was re-introduced at left back. The goal of the game came on 64 mins, Daniel rolling the ball to Jake, who set off on a full length run of the pitch, outpacing at least 2 of the oppo, he then played a one-two with Yasen & then buried the ball into the far corner. More chances were created but either woodwork or the oppo's keeper stopped us adding to the scoreline.

A great result & we look forward to semi-final away to Conquest.
