Yesterday's heavy rain didn't seem to affect the pitch, as the morning wind had dried the surface. Eagles again started slowly and let a good passing Met Police side get into their stride. Eagles were trying to play their passing football, but all too often the final ball let us down, but credit where credit is due, we maintain our shape and battled hard. Daniel had to be at his best at least 3 times in the first period to keep the scoreline level, Yasen was challenged hard and had to be replaced, minutes before half time. so 0-0 at half time.

The team talk was all about raising the tempo and believing in ourselves.

The 2nd half was more of the same, Met. Police looking dangerous on the break, but signs were showing, that the constant Eagle pressure, would bring a goal. The Met. Police keeper had to be at his best on a couple of occasions to keep out Fabio, but the goal did arrive with 5 mins left. Pressure was placed on the full back, who knocked the ball out for a throw. Troy launched the ball into the area, Fabio challenged & Yujan raised high to volley the ball home. Eagles comfortably saw out the final few minutes to see us through.
