Eagles 4 v Harefield Utd Yth 2

Eagles squad was bolstered by the arrival of Samuel, the return of Jake & Ryan & also Ryen & Dylan.
County cup this week & the chance to forget about the league and try to get a win under our belts. Eagles had the chance to change a few faces & gave Samuel his starting debut in the heart of midfield. Also coming back into the side and captaining for the 1st time was Ryan. Eagles started as per usual and forgot to switch on, conceding the 1st goal within 2 minutes, but unlike previous weeks the boys gritted their teeth & applied pressure to the oppo. Samuel equalised from a corner and then Ryan got injured whilst scoring our 2nd. Ryan had to be replaced by Jay. Harefield continued to pass the ball well, but by now Eagles had found their shape & were pushing for more goals. Yujan scored the all important 3rd, firing into the corner of goal after great work from Yasen in the air. Harefield were not done and scored the 2nd goal, poor marking from the free kick left a player unmarked, who looped his header into the far corner. Eagles brought on Jake for Jordan. They continued to pepper the Harefield goal and Fabio got his rewards and Eagles fourth. Half-time!!

Half-time 4-2.

The team talk was all about weathering the storm for the 1st 10mins. & also keeping up the tempo. This the team did and they also continued to look dangerous on the attack. Communication throughout the team was better in the 2nd half and this seemed to help! Yasen scored a good goal, only to be given offside???? Ryen & Dylan came on in the 10 minutes & showed good touches and work ethic. The game came to a close, with no further goals added.
