Eagles get 1st league point.

Eagles 1 v Teddington 1

Eagles were again depleted by injuries, this time Jay, but Jake was starting his journey back from injury. With Yujen arriving late, Jake had to start. This meant a slight reshuffle to the formation and again Ryan had to fill the left birth of midfield. As so frequently this year, Eagles went behind to again sloppy play, a ball straight through the heart of the team, left their forward 1 on 1 with Daniel, who slotted for the opener. Try as hard as we could Eagles could not find their shooting boots and although good individual play made space, chances went a begging. Again sloppy play let their centre forward again in 1 on 1, but this time Daniel came out and saved. Half time 0-1.
Half time team talk was all about self belief and pride. This was carried out by every player and with the wind, Eagles were camped inside the Teddington half. Try as hard as they could, chance after chance went a begging until the 79th minute, when a long throw from Troy caused mayhem in the box, but the coolest head Ryan slotted to equalise. Still Eagles had enoughtime for another chance but as soon as the Teddington defender cleared the ref blew for the final whistle.

First point of the season and now we have a break from the league for County cup action.
