Hanwell FC 1 v Eagles U15's 5

After an indifferent pre-season, Eagles stepped into the County Cup. An away trip to Hanwell FC, nice and local and easy to get to. Eagles started very cautiously and Hanwell left winger posed quite a threat, with his pace and skill. Eagles took the lead after 21 minutes, when new to the squad this year, Yasen finished with power and accuracy. This seemed to calm the side down, but before we knew it, it was 1-1. the forementioned no.9 had a shot blocked, but was quickest to smash the rebound high into the net. So 1-1 at half-time.
A slight re-shuffle to the team at the break, Zak coming into the heart of the defence and Jake moving to right back. Cain going up top and Fabio on the left wing. Within 2 minutes of the restart, Eagles were 3-1 to the good. Cain ramraiding through the defence and tapping into the net. Then almost straight from the centre kick, Fabio scoring a sweet strike from 30 yards. Hanwell continued to pose a threat on the break, but Eagles were by now communicating and snuffing out any of these attacks. Jay & Mitchell were introduced and further goals came from Billy and Ryan. Billy's goal was another trade mark 20 odd yarder and the other new member to the team, Ryan also notching from outside the box.

So into the next round and next week the league action starts, away at Hampton & Richmond. See everyone at training Tuesday!!!
