Another point towards survival

A squad performance today as 3 players could n't make it for various reasons, but well done to those who did & put the effort in to gain us another point. Yasen another one who wasn't fit today, but thanks must go to him for turning up, although he must listen to wise old man.!!

Again we started well & looked like our pace could get us beyond the KPR defence, this did happen on a couple of occasions, although the final pass or shot wasn't the quality required to beat their keeper. We did take the lead on around 26 minutes, when a long throw was headed on by Jake & cannoned of Jay into the corner of the goal. This could of been 2, but for their keeper making a great save. The rest of the half followed in the same manner, so 0-1 to Eagles at half time.

The boys were reminded that discipline in shape as well as composure on the ball was required to see us take another 3 points. By now Ryan was on & good work from Kyle, Mik gave him a header that looked like the second goal, but from nowhere the keeper produced a worldie. So going into the final 5 minutes, one goal never looked enough. This was true as after being let off when their player put wide, when 1 on 1 with Daniel, we parted like the red sea and gifted them an equaliser. Lessons must be learned & players need to take responsibility.

This being said, it's another point & we need to keep accumulating these points to build for next season.
