Bedont win the battle of the Eagles

Bedfont Eagles 6 v Barnes Eagles 1

Bedfont started with a real determination today & were rewarded when Billy finished & put us 1-0 up. Barnes were busy hustling & bustling, but Bedfont should of been 2-0 up, when with the goal wide open after initial good work, Kyle managed to hit the post. Chin up, the goals will come. Barnes capitalised on this & equalised. Bedfont then seemed to lose themselves and the workrate & shape went from the side. With the first half nearing completion, Bedfont got a free-kick, all of 25 yards out. Up stepped Billy & hit an unbelievable shot, that no keeper would of stopped. So 2-1 at halftime.

At halftime the boys were reminded about workrate, shape & discipline.

This seemed to fall on deaf ears as all 3 of the above were not implemented. Thankfully this didn't cost us & as Barnes tired Bedfont added another 4 goals. Yasen outpaced the backline on 2 occasions & finished with ease. Billy got his hat-trick & Fabio got the other. In the end a comfortable win, only made difficult by the boys.
Remember teamwork gets you results!! Also this time of year you need boots with screw in studs, the longer the better. So 2 weeks off & back for training on the 30th.
