Eagles Started brightly against a very well drilled Sutton side, neat passing football was being played by both teams and Eagles took the lead when Ryan was first to the rebound off the post, to tap into the empty net. Chances were falling to either side and Eagles went ahead again after pressure from a cross from the right was turned into his own net by the Sutton defender. 2-1 at half time, but by now the 3 missing M4 Sutton players had turned up. Half time wasall about keeping calm and taking whatever chances would fall our way. After the ref had waved play on to an offside, Sutton thought they had a free-kick, but Yasen nipped in to steal the ball and finish with ease. This seamed to stur the Sutton side and only good goalkeeping and last ditch defending kept Sutton at bay. This didn't last for long and before we could realise Sutton were level at 3-3. So extra time was required.
Both teams were still looking for the next goal but try as they might Eagles just couldn't seem to manage to get that breakthrough. Injuries to Yujan and Jay meant that the walking wounded were required for spot kicks. Billy won the toss & Eagles would go 1st.
Up step Troy, why went for power and scored. Suttons first kick was saved by Daniel. Cain scored, Sutton scored, Fabio scored, Sutton scored. Yasen missed, Sutton scored. 3-3 after 4 spot kicks. Ryan took our 5th and scored, meaning Sutton had to score to take it to sudden death, pressure on the Sutton taker and Daniel guessed right and through we went.
