Eagles Sink Like The Mary Rose

It all started to go wrong when the referee failed to show, so off his bike got Mr Jim Pike who kindly refereed the game for us. Thanks once again Jim, you’re our hero!

Playing hosts to SYL new comers Haliford Colts is was another missed opportunity for the Eagles. The first 20 minutes saw once again some quality football from the Bedfont players who for some reason cannot get the score right.

Once again, we hit the bar, we shot to wide, it went over the bar etc, etc,etc……..that was my Yul Brynner impression.

It took Haliford some 25 minutes into the first half to find the back of the Bedfont goal and then 3 minutes later slotted home another.

Going into half time it was 2 nil to Haliford.

The second half started and Bedfont just lost their shape and passion.
Haliford went on to score another 3 goals making the final score 5-0.

We must all remember that it’s about taking part, and giving 100% and remembering we are Eagles.
