It Must Still Be Friday 13th !

Bedfont visited the familiar faces of Worcester Park today where the testerone levels were high.

The game started at a steady pace with some lovely passing from Bedfont for the second week running. However 6 minutes into the game Worcester took a run through the Bedfont defence and slotted home a goal. This week the Bedfont boys kept their heads up and carried on in true style.

It was all coming together and with a beautiful back flick from Elliott Shead who found the nimble feet of George ‘Boris’ Morris who went on to score for Bedfont.

This was starting to be tough game, with neither team getting any decisions from the young referee. It was Worcester who were having the luck once again as they broke through and slotted in yet another.

Bedfont did have a missed chance when a free kick was awarded, but Jake’s wonder kick took it over the crossbar. The half time score was 2 – 1 to Worcester.

The second half started well with Bedfont keeping possession with some lovely little crosses. The hard work paid off when Jay-Ru Kelly went on the run and found George Morris who once again found the back of the Worcester goal.

It was all to play for and any ones game, until Worcester went on the run again and took the lead with another goal. Then just 2 minutes later Worcester were awarded a penatly. Bedfont keeper, George Woodbridge took his place and again going the right way just missed the save by inches.

The Bedfont boys have been so unlucky and don’t deserve the results that they are getting. The final score was 4 – 2 to Worcester Park.

The whole team played with passion and skill and the man of the match was awarded to Mason Chisholm for his once again outstanding contribution to the game.
