Eagles Lack Desire as Hanworth take the spoils

Eagles went into the game without James Greenwood and Iffy, but even these 2 would have found it hard to raise eagles to win this local derby.

Its started in the worst possible way, a defensive mix up lead to Hanworths skipper making it 1-0 after 2 minutes. On 20 minutes a long ball found the hanowrth forward who made it 2-0, which was deserved for the vistors. Eagles passed well and had the lions share of pocession, but failed to take there chances, with Jordan, Frankie and Lance all failing to take there chances. Eagles then found there feet and after good work from Lance Frankie ghosted in to make it 2-1 on the stroke of halftime. Eagles came out with a purpose and Damien found himself in the box and chose to square the ball rather than rifle home like he did so many times last season, He then shook off his marker in the 6 yard box only to be pull up by the ref for a push, much to the amazment of everyone watching, including the away support. This saw Eagles loose there shape and Hanworth once again caught eagles on the break to make it 3-1 and then 4-1 in quick succession. Damien pulled on back to reduce the scoreline, but it was not meant to be, for all of Eagles excellent passing and pocession we didnt take our chances and Hanworth run out deserved winners, and progress to the next round. Mason Roseboom put in a man of the match performance and Eagles will look to bounce back in the league next week. If we continue to move the ball the way we are we will be more than ok, we must remember to take our chances and never panic no matter what the score is.
