Promotion door stays open

After last weeks lesson from Sheen, Bedfont knew that only a win would keep their promotion hopes alive. A tricky opening 10 mins was weather by Bedfont & after this they settled down & created chances. The wind and the rain meant that footing was difficult but a classic toe punt from Mitchell opened the scoring. Billy squandered a great chance to double the lead, but he wasn't to be kept off the score sheet for long & gladly put the ball into the back of the net.

The second period began in the same vein as the first had finished and Billy added his second of the game. Changes were introduced and these seem to stretch the Barnes side even more. Attack after attack was aimed at the Barnes goal and their keeper done extremely well to keep the score down, but the fourth goal came via a corner & centre back Jake, pounced on the loose ball to fire home.
