Eagles beat local rivals

Eagles U14's put their local rivals to the sword, with an allround better team performance. The heavens opened prior to kick off & made the surface very slippery. Ashford started quickly, but fell behind when Cain beat the Ashford keeper at the near post. On Bedfont next attack they made it 2-0, when Cains weak effort went underneath their keeper. It remained 2-0 until halftime.
The teamtalk was centred around the team effort and keep encouraging each other. Wothin 10 minutes Ashford got on the scoresheet. A mistake by Daniel presented the Ashford player with a simple tap in. Encouragement came from throughout the team and soon Eagles added a 3rd, this time a thunderous left footed effort from Cam. Still Ashford pressed and a simple through ball straight through middle ripped us apart and Ashford were back in the game at 3-2 down. Eagles were not finished and added another 2 goals from Cain & an own goal, to make sure they are in the hat for the quarter final
