Bedfont Sports V Hampton and Richmond fc

We welcomed Hampton and Richmond for this league cup fixture .
Hampton have now moved to the central league after a Ryman reshuffle.
We started brightly enough but Hampton came back in the game and had the better of the possession. Neither side had it their own way
but Hampton came closest with a shot that thankfully tipped the bar and went over. half time 0-0.
after a reshuffle and the introduction of Brad Scott our shape and energy were a lot better.
I felt we took the game to Hampton and possessed more of a threat than our visitors. movement was better and we speeded up our passing
which was lacklustre in the first half.
Harry Saunders got onto a good cross from Cally which just went wide. the build up play from Joe Smith , Jack Edwards Cam Evans and then Cally O'reilly was excellent and the coaching staff demanded more of the same.Harrison Livingstone had two good opportunities towards the end as did Harry and Anthony Mozie but we didn't quite manage to score. Harrison was close but his shot hit the far post and was quickly cleared to safety. 90 mins 0-0 No extra time in this match and so straight to Pens.
Well done to our Skipper James Greenwood, Joe Smith, Harrison Livingstone,Brad Scott and Jack Edwards for raising their hands.
their keeper managed to save Jacks effort but Hampton had missed as well, so sudden death. Hampton again missed and up stepped Anthony Mozie to seal the shoot out and the tie in Sports favour.

Overall I was pleased with the second half and Well done to George Woodbridge for keeping a clean sheet on his home youth debut. first one of many I hope for him and the team.
We know we are a lot better than the performance given. Hopefully We show that in next weeks FA Youth Cup match at Home to Newport Pagnell.
