Young guns blast through

With 9mins gone the sports management looked like they had made a massive mistake as wokings experienced youth tea tore through our young side with ease. However on 9mins when it looked like sports would get a hiding they seemed to grow up very quickly.
Aiden Bradshaw and jack Edwards both settled, Callum fullman relaxed in goal and the rest of our young side stood up to be counted. With 7 under 16 and 5 under 17 in the side along with joe Jackson adding some much need experience they set about getting back into the game.

Charlie Matheson marked his debut with a great finish after latching on to jack Edwards ball to smash the ball home. However another set back as Woking ran up the other end and restored there 2 goal lead. However these boys would not lie down, Matheson made it 3-2 from close range and they jackson made it 3-3 on half time after Harry sanders beat 2 players in the box to set him up.

Half time came and the message was clear, enjoy the game and keep going, Tom peel and Harrison Livingston from our under 16s came on, along with husen to give sports some much needed fresh legs. Harrison then marked his own debut with a great finish after going around the keeper and finishing from a tight angle.

At 4-3 sports held out and secured a place in the next round, a quarter final at home to wingate and Finchley. A great night for sports and proof that our next batch of kids as ready to fill the boots of our current crop.
