We met local rivals Staines Town in a entertaining Match that saw both sides score two goals.
This was always going to be a big test. Mark Fabian and Jim Wigmore always provide a strong competitive and organised side. This game was no different.
Staines started very strong and could have been 0-1 up after 3-4 seconds but for a tip over from Lewis .
however a great strike did put them in the lead 0-1. the boys worked their way back into the game and were given a penalty for handball just before the break which Harrison netted half time 1-1.
the second half we worked hard again but it was a free kick that we switched off from that saw Staines take the Lead.1-2 .
We pressed again and a good combination between Cally and Harrison saw the ball in the back of the net 2-2. still with 10 to go.
At this point we had three strikers on. Anthony Mozie and the now fit Alfie Pope joined Harrison up top.
Chances were missed and it was Staines who had a late appeal turned down as a saved shot was deemed to have crossed the line but the referee waved it away.
Tough for Staines on that call but We would have felt choked not to get anything from this one.
Final score a fair 2-2
