Beaconsfield V Bedfont Sports Fa Youth Cup

A really tough encounter saw sports go through to the next round .
this was a tough fixture but the team showed real team spirit and a never say die attitude.
Lewis Mathews was the busier of the two keepers in the first half but he was more than a match for anything that was thrown at him, other than one rasping shot that hit our post.
Our back four of Ash , Wilksy , James G and Smithy were excellent as was Cam Evans again.
Cally Jacko and Harry worked their socks off and Our Harrison had one chance in the first half and took it as he usually does.
HT 0-1.
the second half Sports improved but still had to deal with Beaconsfield changing their tactics. they went more route one than the patient build up play to their danger man no 10. Probably Ashley Harrick made them change their minds as no 10 could not get past him.Ashley and his defenders union refused to give anything away.
So a great test with some fantastic performances. this was a day for the defenders and the team to be patient and calm.
Our reward is another trip away to Hornchurch in essex.
