Home Win for Bedfont Eagles

Today we played at home against Claygate Royals

Everyone was feeling fresh for another home game! (No place like home!!)

The match kicked off at 10:30, and Bedfont were in a great rhythm passing the ball around nicely. Everyone knew their positions, and was showing Claygate how we play as a team.

In the 19th minute Shay made a beautiful clearance from his goal and the ball landed at Joe's feet who immediatey took control of the ball and made a beautiful strike to put us 1-0 up.

In the second half Bedfont started much the same way, passing the ball around to each other, and putting the pressure on Claygate Royals. Bedfont were awarded a corner kick that Joe took beautifully and found Frankie who booted the ball straight to the back of the net. Bedfont were winning 2-0, when Kieren got the ball outside of the box and took a beauty of a shot so quick we couldnt believe it - another goal!!! it was like watching a premier league goal!!!

Well Done boys for today! Not only did we win, but you played as a team. You are all adapting to your positions nicely, and you have each others backs! I've always loved watching you play, but each week you go from strength to strength! Even when you were winning you never lacked enthusiasm, and you all kept your composure the whole way through.

It feels great to enjoy our second win and clean sheet in a row! Well done Shay, you have settled in nicely! Its like you have always been with us! Keep up the good work!!

Man of the match today goes to Frankie - Wow Frankie!! Your consistency is amazing you battled through the whole match. Your goal was beautifully controlled. Nothing seems to phase you. Congratulations for being Man of the Match - Thouroughly deserved!

Well done Nath for not only managing to coach the boys today but also reffing the match too!! You can multi-task... Who knew???
