Our 1st game after being moved up into the top league.

We played 2 twenty minute periods and the game went from end to end. A scrappy 1st ten minutes before either side settled down. Chances few and far between with both sides fighting hard and defending well. Molesey steal the ball high in our half and the boy slots it past Archie with a nice finish. 1-0 Molesey at half time.

The 2nd half starts with a change of footwear for Billy the rock and we start to create chances. Billy, Bradley and Joe all have chances saved by the Molesey goalie. We've got Molesey pinned in there half and are starting to knock the ball around really well. Bradley and Billy beating people and getting in good crosses and Joe, Charlie, Richard and Natan working hard and passing the ball well. More chances follow as Richard has 2 one on ones but even a cheeky back heel fails to beat the Molesey goalie. A good run and cross from Billy and the ball falls at Natan's feet but again he is thwarted by the goalie. Billy then has 2 bites of the cherry as his shot comes back off the goalie but can only manage to put it over the top. Natan is put clean through by Archie but fails to control the ball. The game finishes 1-0 to a well organised Molesey side who we dominated in the 2nd half but just couldn't seem to find a break through. Well proud of the boys who never gave up and was just a decent finish away from getting a result. A great 1st game and the boys will learn more from that than they will smashing a team. A quick mention for Archie who's distribution was spot on as always.
