The 1st of 3 fifteen minute straight through matches.

I explained to the boys how important it is to start fast in these shorter games and they didn't let me down. From the off Bradley Slade, Joe Cooper and Charlie Borg were pressing the Halliford boys and not giving them a second on the ball. This created chance after chance with us finally taking 1 as Bradley Slade scrambled it in from close range. 1-0 Bedfont. More chances for Bedfont with Joe Cooper having a number of chances saved or going wide. Halliford get a break and after an initial save from Archie Homans the ball breaks to a Halliford player and it's 1-1. The game slightly more end to end now but with Bedfont still on top. Some great runs from Bradley and Billy leaving players in there wake. 1 of these runs produced our 2nd goal with Billy Nixon nicking the ball in the centre of the pitch before bursting through and coolly finishing with the outside of his boot. The game finished 2-1 to Bedfont and was thoroughly deserved and could of been a lot more.

Bedfont Eagles u8's 1 Old Isleworthians u8's 2

I made 2 changes for the 2nd game bringing on Natan and Richard Reed.
We started the game well with Bradley beating 2 players and shooting narrowly wide. However we seemed to lose our shape and with that lost control of the game. Old Isleworthians having a few chances which Archie did well to stop. Bedfont take the lead though as Bradley's cross is finished by Natan. 1-0 Bedfont but Old Isleworthians are level nearly straight away as a scramble of Bedfont players take the ball into there own net. Old Isleworthians then take the lead as a defensive mix up ends with the ball in the back of our net. The game finished 2-1 to Old Isleworthians and they deserved there win.

Bedfont Eagles u8's 3 Spelthorne Sports u8's 1

We saved our best performance till last as we run out comfortable winners against a strong Spelthorne side.
Good early pressing put Spelthorne on the back foot as Joe, Charlie and Bradley got to the Spelthorne players as quickly as they could. Bradley with the licence to run was picking it up from deep and cutting through the Spelthorne team at will. Billy the rock Nixon was also doing the same and he put us 1-0 up by bursting through and slamming the ball past Bobby Honey. 1-0 become 1-1 as against the run of play Spelthorne score. But there reward was short lived as again Billy Nixon drove past players and smashed it into the roof of the net. 2-1 Bedfont. 2 really strong teams now going to war with tackles flying in. Bradley Slade again picked it up off of Archie. He beat 2 players down the line before cutting inside a 3rd and crossing with his right foot to find Richard Reed 2 yards out to tap in. 3-1 Bedfont and a comfortable last 5 minutes meant we were worthy winners. Our best performance so far this season. Well proud of the boys.

Man of the day was Archie Homans with good saves and good reading of the game.
Also thought Charlie Borg had his best day so far with grit and determination and some excellent skill.
