Jay Taylor Scores his 1st goal for the Eagles...

The Under 8’s went away to Kew Park Rangers on Sunday, we arrived at a club much like our own with well drilled teams and an excellent set up.

So it was game on, the 1st 10mins saw both teams playing excellent football but not hitting the target at either end it seemed both teams were trying their best to work each other out.

The second 10mins saw a handball by the KPR defender in the box and Joe Warren coolly finished from the spot to make it 1-0, KPR then came to life and raced into a 2-1 lead and they finished 2nd 10mins 2-1 up.

At the start of the 3rd 10mins Harrison Wise found Captain Jake Beck who smashed the ball home to make it 2-2.

Rio Monks then passed to Jay Taylor who curled the ball into the top corner and scored his 1st ever goal for Eagles (Well done young man) and it was 3-2. KPW then pulled it back to 3-3.

Then Frankie Macfarlane found Harrison Wise and he made it 4-3 but KPW came back again and it was 4-4 at that point my pencil broke.

Don’t worry i had a sub pencil, with Morgan Benn making two outstanding saves but his brave efforts only saw KPR take a lead 5-4.

With the lads trying their best to get back in the game Joe Warren found Jake Beck and it was 5-5, KPR stepped up again and scored two more goals in the dying moments of the game to see them run out 7-5 winners in a fantastic game.

What a cracker, grassroots football at its best....El Clásico

Goals: Joe Warren 2, Jake Beck 1, Harrison Wise 1, Jay Taylor 1 (1st goal for Eagles)
