One to forget!!!

With kids who are currently playing at academy sides proved a bit tough for our lads who never really got into the game. We had a spell at the end of first half when Kai scored a cracker and it looked for 2 or 3 minutes that just maybe we could get something out of this. I was proven very wrong as soon as second half started they totally out played us and we were lucky it stayed at 4-1 they came close to scoring few more times and a disallowed own goal from Alfie meant it stayed at just 4. You could tell a few of the boys hadn't trained Friday but saying that even the ones the did looked to struggle. Great positioning from Kai we just couldn't break there defence although GW had a good crack at it and was the strongest player without doubt even know he was floored twice. However he might of just noticed martins put on a few pounds and likes to make him keep running on. I thought William had a cracker and only one of the goals was probably down to him where he didn't show him self to the player running in the box saying that had the defenders of. Been where they should he wouldn't of had to worry all there goals came out of poor defensive decisions. Archie's best spell of the game was definitely when he played out on the wing I think that was also GG best part of the game when he swapped to defence so a good decision by Martin there. Alf likewise really bad game at the back wasn't up for it all game until he played forward and sent a shot just over the bar and one cleared by a defender after beating the keeper. Matt struggled to get his shot of but again there defence was on us soon as we tried to break into the box. The boys shouldn't beat them selfs up over this lose they tried there best and that's all that's ever asked the opponents were just stronger more organised and more up for it. Roll on next season few of the boys really starting to get into form and I reckon we can look forward to plenty of positives.
