The Nolan boys were in town!

With Craig away this week, we had Josh 'with his swagger', and Liam who had fired Kian up for a win, on the sidelines to see us through this weeks game against Staines Town Juniors.

Ollie (or Olly!) walked us on as captain, starting off in goal with his new signature yellow shirt on, while Dad Rowan had to put down his coffee and pick up the refs whistle!

We began quickly with Rhino Ryan making a quick run from the start, We caught everyone of guard and gained an early lead 1-0. Staines Town came back just as fast passing all of our players only to be stopped by last weeks man of the match Danny, who ran the length of the pitch and stopped the ball just outside of the box! Well done Danny!
Still in the first quarter we saw possibly the best passing we've seen yet, our boys linked up fantasticly! Ethan to Danny then to Ryan then back to Ethan again! it was fantastic passing boys! Ollie won him self a clean sheet this quarter, goalie training for you next week Ollie!

2nd quarter brought striker Tyler and Kian on! Kian was strong and solid from moment he stepped on! With Dad, Liam just meters away he was making tough challenges look easy! Listening to everything his dad was telling him Kian was involved in all the play from end to end. Ethan had a throw on for Bedfont, over the heads of 2 Staines players, Tyler chested it down straight to his foot, and BOOM! Yet another goal for Tyler! We conceded a goal soon after from a very good Staines player, Ollie in goal had no chance. After a few more shots on target Bedfont were eager for another goal. The chance came when Kian had an awesome throw in, he saw Tyler ready and took his chance. The Kian to Tyler link up worked perfectly with another goal for the Eagles! Loved the HIGH5 celebration with your team mates Tyler! Later from a goal kick, we saw more passing from the Bedfont boys! Ollie, to Ethan, to Ryan and onto to Tyler, no goal this time but its so good to watch, what a difference from just a few months ago! An amazing 5-2 at half time!

A team huddle at half time, E A G L E S!! Josh and Liam got the players ready! A change of ends, Ryan wore the magic yellow goalie shirt and Alfie was on and ready to be noticed!! Staines earned an early corner, boys lined up to defend...with a strong kick from a Staines player it looked like it was going to hit the back of the net!, but Tyler used his height heading the ball away! Alfie got onto the ball and made a long run down to Danny, he was ready and in position in a flash but just couldn't find the back of the net. Fast play started again, Alfie found him self on the wing, with no where to go he turned and skilled past Staines, he took a shot from 3/4 of the pitch away and only just missed goal! Fantatsic football Alfie! Soon after Alfie was down, but he soon jumped up brushing off an injury to his knee. Tyler's throw on followed, straight to Danny who turned on the ball and gave it Ollie, gave a great opportunity for yet another goal, was just to the left of the post this time.

4th and final quarter the score hadn't changed 5-2 to us! Alfie linked with Ethan at the back, nothing was going to pass them, which left Ryan in goal with not a lot to do. The boys were tiring, but never gave up. After a long ball from the defence Tyler found the back of the net yet again! We kept strong and conceded no more goals. Clean sheet to Ryan in goal. Kian was carried off pitch in the final 60 seconds, Ollie was called up and In no hurry at all Ollie prepared him self!

Kian had a great game and won him self MAN OF THE MATCH for his solid performance today! WELL DONE KIAN!
