Nothing casual about our Beck!

This week we went away to Walton Casuals, with Ryan walking on as Captain.

On arrival we felt like giants against their tiny goals! After last weeks spectacular performance Ollie christened the new goalie shirt and started confidently in goal winning himself a clean sheet for the first quarter! Kian and Ethan in defence in front of Ollie made up an excellent back half. Ryan and Tyler made up the front two and we were one up with in the first few minutes with a scorching strike from Tyler!

2nd Quarter with Danny and Alfie now on, we had a fast responding opposition coming at us, Alfie made sure the ball wasn't going near our sticks with the back up from Danny. Like a pair of whippets they covered the whole pitch, from end to end they gave 100%, excellent effort boys. Despite the goals being smaller than we are used to, Walton beat goalie Ryan twice with 2 low shots he just couldn't get down to quick enough. The hard work paid off for Alfie knocking the ball to the back of the net just before the half time whistle leaving the score 2-2.

3rd quarter the game stepped up a gear, Bedfont were eager for another goal. Alfie wore our new goalie strip with pride, saving 4 shots with in minutes, Ryan made a run from just past the centre spot, past 3 players and boom into the back of the net. Once again we were ahead. Danny made a fantastic pass into the box, perfectly placed but the team just couldn't get it past their goalie. A speedy run by Walton made for breathtaking football, a strong shot hit the post, ending the 3rd quarter with Alfie also earning himself a clean sheet!

After a cookie energy break Kian and Danny stepped up to the front line, Tyler and Ollie made a strong barrier for Ethan in goal...after a battle from Ollie, he somehow got the ball free and passed to Tyler who placed the ball in the box, it was just millimetres too far for Kian to get to, great spacing though boys....and your awareness of the game is fantastic to watch. After a battle between Tyler and a Walton player in the corner, Walton scored a sloppy goal. Finishing the game 3-3 draw.

Danny voted MOTM for his persistent energy and solid performances week in and week out.
