Tyler On Target!

WOW!!! What a cracking game, was good to be back to football after a two week break for the boys and parents!

With an early goal from Tyler today, we had a confident start. Ollie was super in goal, making quick reactions and never taking his eye off the ball for a second. Danny was as usual very determind and kept the defence strong in the first quarter...He deserved a goal today but it just wouldn't happen for him! With a solid pass from Captain Alfie , a long shot from almost the half way line Ryan scored a cracker over the heads of Waltons defence, Well done Rhino and Alfie!

We went into the 2nd quarter with our heads held high, 2-0 up we were ready! Kian came on as strong as ever, giving his all to stop the ball passing him with some cracking tackling skills! Danny made a supurb run down the wing passing the opposition from left to right, he was unstoppable...he took a shot on target but just couldn't quite get it past the goalie. Despite our determind defence, Walton scored 2 goals, leaving us neck and neck with everything to play for.

Alfie took his place in the net for the 3rd quarter, after 2 amazing rebounds saved by Alfie, Kian got his body in front of the goal with a huge clearance kick, giving Alfie a second to breathe. Walton went a head making it 2-3, then soon after 2-4. The whistle blew for the end of the 3rd quarter. Craig, Josh and Liam gave a team talk and re composed the boys,

Danny and Kian started at the back for the last quarter, putting goal scorer Tyler at the front with Ryan, and Ollie back in goal. From kick off Ryan passed the ball the Tyler, who smashed it into the back of the net... Walton didn't know what had hit them! Walton came back stronger than ever pounding goal after goal at Ollie who made 9 saves in 10 minutes!! Excellent work Ollie!! Danny and Kian kept bringing the ball forward for Tyler and Ryan who in turn took their own shots on goal, scoring 5 between them in the last 10 min! Danny and Kian made way for Ethan and Alfie at the back for a final 4 minutes, Ethan ran his socks off today getting to every part of the pitch that he was needed, with Alfie always in the right place at the right time for support.

Fantastic football today, as one parent said it was a huge team effort, and HUGE well done to everyone on the pitch!

Tyler was voted parents Man of the Match.
