It just doesn't seem to be happening for the Eagles U10's so far this season.

AGAIN we started strongly and we seemed evenly matched. Both teams getting into each other halves. We had a great save from George G, and the team defended well.

We were shown good battling from Kai and Billy, showing the other team that we meant business. Esher managed to get past our defence and George G was there to stop the ball again. The ball was than played long and their goal keeper came out to it and it bounced over him leaving Kai to score but it went wide.

We won several corners in the first half but just couldn't seem to get one of our players underneath it. Esher were defending as strongly as we were. But then we were back up in our half again where George W made an amazing defensive header to keep the ball away from our goal.

We kept battling and we had a chance from Kai again hoofing the ball over the goalkeepers head but bounced over the top of the goal, we just couldn't get a goal. Daniel battled hard and defended well against players and tried to release the ball to his own players but Esher were just always there.

But finally the time came where Esher broke us down and they scored a goal. Again we got ourselves anther 3 corners in this half but Esher were always there to get the ball away. It was on a break from one of these that Esher scored again, but only after great defending from Billy with is head. Half time and we were 0-2 down.

The boys came out fighting again and we were playing well again, with great saves from George G again and both Kai and Matt having shots on goal going wide.

Archie was always there with his player and disposed his man more than once. But our heads seemed to go down and Esher scored another goal and another one followed not long after this.

But towards the end of the second half we started to rally and put some passes together which paid off as Matthew managed to get a shot on goal didn't go in but Matt was there to follow up and finish the job. We had scored, the pressure had worked but too late in the game to get any further goals.
