Eagles to strong for Griffins

Eagles U9’s took on Hanworth Sports Griffins at home in the league.

With a full team to pick from (well Morgan running late) Manager Glen set his team out and got lads upbeat for this local derby.

The lads started at cracking pace and HSG where on the back foot from the start, Jake scored on 4mins, 9mins 13mins, his hat-trick was that quick HSG had no answer to Eagles.

Our defence of Emon, Cole, Jay, Frankie stopped any forward attack from HSG and our midfield pushed on, Jake, Dan, Harrison played impressive football in going forward HSG had no answer in the 1st and 2nd quarters.

Then it was time for a bit of magic, Harrison was fouled on the left hand side of the HSG box, Rio placed the ball down, on target we asked and he then curled the ball into the top corner 4-0 (what a goal).

The lads went forward again, the passing and movement was fantastic, from the Arsenal back four we moved the ball to Jake, Harrison, Dan who found Jay, he then found the top corner and the score was 5-0.

So was it game over, well the lads got a bit lazy and HSG scored at the end of the game to make it 5-1
