The U9’s took on Kew Park Rangers Reds in the second game of the 2014-2015 season, we started well and went 1-0 nil up, the throw from captain Jake Beck bounced over the Kew Keeper who pushed the ball into the top of his net.
Well so much for a good start, Kew then came back into the game, with Emon taking his turn in goal Kew went on the attack, they scored a quick goal and the boys found it difficult again to come to terms with the bigger pitch. 3 more goals saw Kew go in at half time 4-1 up.
H-T 1-4
Morgan Benn then went in goal for the second half and was busy from the restart, Eagles then broke with Harrison Wise who found Joe Warren, he then passed to Cole Paul who scored his 1st goal for the club with a turn and shot that went straight into the roof of the net.
Jake Beck and Rio Monks where doing there best in midfield to drive us on but Kew again put pressure on our deference of Jay and Frankie and scored to make it 5-2, Kew’s final goal was deflected passed Morgan and the whistle went for Full time, lessons from the game 4 goals down to bad mistakes cost the team and we could have drawn 2-2.
