A Great Match

Unfortunately it didn't start for the boys and they went one goal down after 2 minutes.

But they carried on and tried their best to get a goal back, Daniel was great in defence and kept on battling, but the opposition got through our defence again a few minutes later. We were 2-0 down.

Then all of a sudden we got out spring back in our step and we had a great link up between the boy's ending up with a shot from Matt.

Matthew had a go at a goal literally from the halfway line that just went wide of the post. But again the opposition broke through our defence and scored. We went in at half time 3-0 down.

After a their prep talk from Martin the boys came back out and were strong and held there own with two shots on goal within the first few minutes. Plus a little prep talk to the goalkeeper who had hurt his hand at the end of the fist half, but went back out.

Then our time came George W made a great run and went for goal, but was saved, but was followed up by Kai and the ball was in the back of the net.

George G made some cracking saves in the second half to deny the opposition but they did manage to get another two goals past us. But the boys just kept trying. Archie just didn't care that is players were a lot bigger than him and won the ball on several occasions.

Another goal from us came from a goal kick from George G that George W connected too and blasted into the back of the net.

Billy at times ran rings around several of the oppositions players and his skill paid off by assisting George W with another goal.

The boys fought so hard today and their head's didn't go down in the second half, they battled and it made for a great game of football.

Well done today, this was the most positive comeback and game I have seen the boy's play and they never gave up. Well done!!!!!
