Eagles Fight To The End

Straight from when the whistle first blew, we knew we were in for a hard game. AC Fulham were straight on the attack and George G made a great save within the first minute.

From that point we had to play a defensive game as the opposition were very strong and George W made a great save off the goal line. But they kept on coming and AC Fulham's first goal came in the 5th min.

The boy's showed glimpses of what they were capable of with a good link up between Billy and Kai. But the ball was taken off them and the opposition went up the other end and managed to score another goal in the 8th and 10th minute.

But again, all the boys held their heads high and tried so hard to stop them Matt, Matthew, Daniel, Kai, Billy, George G, George W, and Archie gave it 100 per cent.

George W valiantly tried to stop the ball going in the net but his hand got in the way and a penalty was give to Fulham. Up stepped George G in goal and..................SAVED IT. But 5 mins later in went another goal

Matt at the end on the first half managed to break from his player and had a shot on goal, which was saved.

The second half started and we came out stronger and tried to break down the opposition which did work, as we had a few good breaks and Matt, Matthew, Kai and Billy all had shots on goal this half. George G was diving around all over the place made at least 10 saves throughout the match, including a free kick from Fulham, but again they were just too strong and scored in 40th min, 45th min and 48th min.

A very very strong opposition today and the boy's played their socks off.
