Eagles caught out by the Lions

We started well today by making it straight into the opposition's goal area and showing great pressure, but again the boy's tried so hard but the lions were just too strong after a great save from George G, they managed to get the ball in the back of the net, and another followed in the next few minutes.

George W showed great strength in defence by making several great clearances in the first half but the Lions did not have it all their way with Matt making a shot on goal that was saved by their keeper.

Again the lions pushed up and with luck and a few dodgy decisions the Lions put another one on the back of the net. George G made several great save's in the first half with Daniel having a great game defence wise. The first half ended 3-0 to the home team

But whatever Martin said at half time had a really positive effect on the boy's as they came out stronger.

Archie was there again bothering the players and getting under their feet, but again the lions scored, but we fought back and nearly scored from a George W giving it a good whack at goal, but was saved. Again Matt had a great chance on goal, as well as Billy twice in the second half. Kai made a couple of great runs down the wing and passed into the player in the middle.

Defence wise we were much stronger and gave them a great game,it took the Lions until around the 40th minute to score again and then again in the last few minutes.

The boy's were strong today and really gave it 100 per cent. Well done all.
