Battling Eagles Take a Dive

The match started well and we were straight on the defensive, with Archie and George W being there to stop the ball getting any further.

But a very well organised team Carlshalton managed to score in the 4th minute. We battled on and showed some good signs with good runs from Billy.

But again Carlshalton broke through our defence and scored again in the 6th minute. Matt showed that we would not give up and put a great shot in on goal but was saved by the keeper.

Although the opposition were relentless George G managed to save at least another 4 shots on goal in the first half, and gave some great kicks that Billy connected to and nearly scored.

Unfortunately the opposition were just too strong and the scored in the 12th min, 15th min and 20th minute. We went in at half time 5-0 down

We came back out determined and Kai battled hard and never gave up on his players and George W the same.

Matthew had a chance to score but again the opposition goalkeeper got in the way. Battle hard we did, but Carlshalton just kept on coming scoring in the 30th min and 32nd min.

Billy did get the ball in the back of the net from a free kick but it was disallowed as the ref had not blown the whistle.

George G again made at least 5 saves in the second half and was diving all over the place.

Another goal went in from the opposition in the 39th minute and I think the boys were glad when the final whistle blew. But the other team were so so strong and the boy's tried so hard to play a game against them but it just wasn't their day today. Onwards and upwards boy's!!!!!
