Eagles Flying High

Spelthorne started well passing the ball and piling on the pressure, but the boy's responded to the pressure and sprung to life.

Archie in the first few minutes was our big man at the back making sure Spelthorne could not get the ball past him.

Then we had the ball and made several goods runs. Kai and George W. linking up well, making the opposition really battle for the ball.

Also great link up's from the two M's Matthew and Matt. Which just carried on by Billy and Matt linking up for a great goal. We were off the mark.

But we did not sit back and defend, we wanted the win today and the boy's just kept going and Matthew and Kai had further shots on goal and also Matt.

Dean at the back made several great clearances and was great in defence for us. Also making several great passes as well. Daniel was great, not afraid to try and take the ball from players or to tackle.

Then not long before half time we had a bit of football ping pong in front of the opposition goal, with at least 4 shots one after the other not going in, but we didn't give up and an assist from Kai lead to another goal, this time from George W.

George G made a great save in the fist half using hands, legs, stomach and managed to keep out the ball somehow.

The second half started a bit more evenly and Spelthorne piled the pressure on, really testing us.

We still managed to link up with runs from George W and Matthew, also a great run from Billy with the ball from one end to the other.

All of thus good play rewarded to boy's with another goal, the assist went to Matt and Matthew put it away.

But Spelthorne battled hard and managed to get a goal, George G got his finger tips to it but just couldn't keep it out of the net.

The boys heads didn't go down, they looked for another goal and got it about 5 mins before the end. Assist from Matt and scored by George W.

All in all today the boys put 100 per cent in and got the result. They played as a team linking up with each other and most importantly passed the ball.
