Lions roar past the Eagles

We started well as usual but Sheen Lions came out strong and within 3 minutes had broken down our defence and scored.

The boys come back and Matthew managed to get us a corner after some great pressure. But we just couldn't get a goal

We battled hard and held Sheen off until the 18th minute where they scored again. George G made several saves and we went in at half time 2-0 down.

We came back out and played a much better second half, with George W making 2 great shots on goal, but both were saved. The ball just didn't want to go in the net.

Mungai then made a great run resulting in a shot on goal but again it was cleared by the lions.

There were several great link up's from George W and Billy. But the ball seemed drawn to the post and not the net.

But then Sheen just stepped in up a notch and the goals came thick and fast, one after the other. George G saved a lot but it was just not the Eagles day.

Kai had a piece of bad luck with an own goal, but made up for it by carrying on and being strong and battling.

Matthew and Mungai joined up well together and AGAIN the ball avoided the net. How we are not sure.

Daniel and Archie were strong and always there bothering Sheen but Sheen were always there and relentless with their attacking. Matt battled hard and made several clearances of the ball during the match.

The score doesn't actually reflect how hard the boys tried today and they all gave 100 per cent and left the pitch with their heads held high.
