Final Game of the Season - Eagles Flying High

The boys arrived at todays match with a spring in their step, knowing that today was to be their last game of the season and we needed to win.

Wandgas proved to be a hard team to breakdown but towards the end of the first half we had a penalty awarded to us. Up stepped the captain to take it. He shoots, he scores!!!

After a team talk at half time the boys came back out and we saw some great passing and team work, which in the end paid off as we managed to score a further 2 goals. Wandgas did however manage to score from a free kick making the final score 1-3.

The boys secured the win they needed and should be very proud of their first season playing as a team.

The boys had actually never played together before this season after merging 2 teams into 1 for the 2017/2018 fixtures. Seeing the journey they have all been on in the past 6 months has been amazing for coaches and parents to watch.

A big thanks you to Stew, Martin and Karl for guiding this group of kids in the right direction and parents for being there to support them.

The boys have ended the season on a high with 14 wins - 1 draw - 3 losses, scored 98 goals and conceded just 25.

They have done Bedfont Sports proud and we cannot wait to see what next season brings for them in the U14's. Hold your heads up high boys you have a season to be proud of!!!!
