Eagles Sports Battle Back for the Win

Although we had met Whitton Wanderers Pumas in a friendly on Club Day in pre-season, today was the first time we had met in the league.

Well done to both teams for an impeccable minutes silence #lestweforget

The boys started well and could have scored a few in the fist 10 minutes of the game but lost concentration and shape allowing Whitton to take the lead.

They pulled it back together and started to play again as a team and managed to pull a goal back. It was all level at half time.

Then we earned a penalty which was taken and saved by the opposition keeper but a quick follow up produced another goal for us.

Whitton managed to score an own goal shortly afterwards. The boys played on and towards the end played well to secure the win with another goal.

We are away to SCR Purples next week who we played last month and won 3-1 but will need to remain strong and play as a team.
