Bedfont Eagles U14 vs Carshalton Whites

Bedfont playing at home to Carshalton Whites and they were looking to make amends for the last time they played when the score was 1-1.

Carshalton kicked off but Bedfont soon regained possession and within the first 10 minutes a break down the left wing by Michael caught Carshalton off guard and when Michael sent the ball into the box it was deflected off their defender to make the score 1-0. Bedfont continued to push forward and shots from Liam, Tommy, Sam and Jack were saved or just wide. Nathan sent the ball down to Sam who headed the ball into Tommy who turned and sent the ball into the top of the net to make it 2-0.

Bedfont came close to increasing the score when a great ball from Jack E through the defenders to Sam whose shot slammed into the cross bar. More shots from Jack E, Sam, Connor, Nathan and Tommy were saved by the Carshalton keeper who was doing some great saves but there was no saving the next goal. Jack E gained the ball and from outside the box took a great shot which slammed into the top of the net and gave their keeper no chance of saving it 3-0.

With just over 5 minutes to half time Bedfont did not turn off the pressure with a terrific shot from Shahan hitting the crossbar and 2 shots from Jack E, Tommy also came close when he hit the crossbar and the post but the score remained 3-0 at half time

The second half started and Carshalton attacked and were awarded a corner but a great save from Nathan denied them but it dropped to another of their players who knocked it in to make the score 3-1. That seemed to shake the Bedfont team who then went out on the attack, Abbas gained the ball ran through the centre of the pitch and launched the ball into the net 4-1.

Shots from George, Liam and Jimmy were saved but once again a long shot from outside the box gave Bedfont their next goal, Kaine sent the ball over the heads of the defence and the keeper to make the score 5-1.

With only 10 minutes left in the game Bedfont did not let up on the pressure and when Sam sent the ball into Josh in the goal area, he took the shot which hit the post rebounded back and bounced of their keeper into the net 6-1.
