Bedfont Eagles Sports U14s vs Met Police Youth Blues

Another freezing morning and Bedfont were playing met Police Youth Blues.

Bedfont kicked off and for the first 5 minutes the Met Police pushed forward trying to find a way through the Bedfont defence but came straight back when Shahan sent a great ball through the middle of the Met Police defenders to Tommy who chipped the keeper to make it 1-0.

Shots from Tommy, Sam and a header from Kaine were saved or just wide but the constant pressure started to work. Another terrific pass from Shahan to Tommy who calmly side stepped the keeper to score his second goal just before half time 2-0.

The second half started and Met Police carried on trying to find a way through but were held back by the solid Bedfont defence. A saved header from Josh was closely followed by a great shot from Abbas which hit the cross bar. Once again another great pass from Shahan to Sam who placed the ball past the keeper increased the score to 3-0.
Only minutes later Tommy laid the ball into the box and Josh leapt up to head the ball into the back of the net 4-0.
With met Police 4 goals down the frustration was evident and a mistimed tackle gave the referee no choice but to give Abbas a yellow card. This did not affect the game as Bedfont were determined to increase the score line and minutes later that happened when a marvellous pass from Nathan through to Michael who chipped the ball over the keeper to make it 5-0.

With only 10 minutes left Connor was really pushing forward but was unlucky when a great run from Nathan who then passed to him but goal was disallowed for being offside. In the dying minutes of the game a shot from Nathan outside the box deflected off a Met Police defender and past the keeper to make the final score 6-0.

A good game with Bedfont keeping the pressure on their opponents during the whole game.

Man of the match was Shahan for some great control and passing which resulted in 3 assists.

Also a well deserved clean sheet bonus for Nathan Gage.
