Bedfont Eagles Sports U14 vs Carshalton Atheltic Whites

Bedfont were playing away at Carshalton on a full size 3G pitch and it looked great, not a puddle or muddy turf in site.

Carshalton kicked off and straight away went on the attack but that only lasted a few minutes before Bedfont regained control. Shots by Nathan, Sam and Jack E were saved by the keeper but minutes later Bedfont were awarded a corner. Sam took the corner and placed high into the box for Josh to head the ball into the back of the net 0-1. Bedfont kept pushing and shots from Nathan, Josh, Jack E and Tommy were saved or just wide.

Carshalton came back and were awarded a free kick which they took and Nathan stopped them getting the equaliser. The ball went from one end to the other with shots from Nathan and Tommy being saved and Carshalton shot just going over the cross bar.

Half time score 0-1 to Bedfont.

Second half started and Bedfont kicked off and straight on the attack with a shot from Tommy saved and another form Nathan which hit the crossbar. Carshalton pushed back but were unable to get through the Bedfont defence. That changed when a goal kick was miss hit and went straight to the Carshalton forward who took advantage and sent straight into the Bedfont goal 1-1.

For the rest of the game Bedfont kept trying to get the winning goal with shots from Nathan, Tommy and Jack E which were saved. With only minutes go Sam came close with a shot which slammed against the cross bar but dropped down for the keeper.

Bedfont did not play the best game with nearly every shot going straight to the Carshalton keeper’s hands and despite them seeing it happen they kept playing the ball up front but with the 3G surface every time it was too fast for the forwards.
