Bedfont Eagles Sports U14 vs Doverhouse Lions Pinks

Another day and another cup game, this time we were playing Doverhouse Pinks.

Bedfont kicked off and pushed forward straight away and Tommy came close to scoring within the first couple of minutes but it was saved by the keeper who pushed the ball away straight into Nathan who sent the ball into the back of the net 1-0. Bedfont kept up the pressure and Nathan took a shot but once again the keeper pushed the ball away and Michael was in a great position and placed it in the net 2-0. Doverhouse kept their heads up and tried to come back into the game but the ball hardly left their half. Kaine gained the ball and sent a great ball over the top of the defenders and Tommy sprinted onto it and scored 3-0.

Bedfont were 3 goals up within the first 15 minutes and it showed no sign of stopping when Sam laid the ball across the box to Tommy who got his second goal 4-0 and he followed that up minutes later with his hat trick when Michael made a great pass and slotted it home 5-0

Once again with Bedfont 5 goals up it started to get a bit sloppy and Doverhouse tried to come back but their shot went wide. Bedfont still dominated the game with shots from Tommy, Michael, Sam, Liam, Nathan which went wide or saved. George came the close when his shot hit the crossbar.

Just before half time and Doverhouse took advantage of Bedfont’s over confidence and attacked. They went straight through the defence and scored 5-1.

Doverhouse kicked off and they were not going to quietly as they pushed forward and it was save great save from Nathan that denied them the goal. Bedfont were still trying to increase the lead with shots from Sam and Nathan but both saved but another goal came when a terrific header from Daniel to Josh who sent the ball past the Doverhouse keeper 6-1. Josh followed that 5 minutes later with his second goal, Tommy took the corner and Abbas headed it and during the scramble for the ball Josh knocked it in 7-1.

Further shots from Liam and Kaine were saved and went wide but in the last 5 minutes a penalty was given to Doverhouse and with the chance to increase their score they placed ball wide.

Final score 7-1

Bedfont played well but as in the past when they go ahead very quickly they turn off which allows the opposition to get back in the game.

Man of the match was Tommy for really pushing forward
