Bedfont Eagles Sports U14 vs CB Hounslow

Bedfonts first league away game and it was against the local rivals CB Hounslow.

Bedfont kicked off but CB Hounslow gained control and pushed forward and had 2 shots within the first 2 minutes. Bedfont pushed back and were unlucky when shots from Josh and Sam were saved.

Bedfont were not playing well and they gained the ball seemed to panic and just kick it away, the passing was terrible and was going straight to CB Hounslow. This gave them a huge advantage and when they were awarded a corner they took the lead 1-0. This seemed to wake up Bedfont and great ball from Shahan through to Tommy who sent the ball wide of the keeper equalled the score 1-1. Bedfont were at least now starting to try and win this game and they took the lead when Tommy laid the ball onto Shahan and he scored 1-2. It was only a great save from Nathan who denied CB Hounslow when they were awarded a free kick just before half time.

Half time 1-2 to Bedfont.

Second half started and CB Hounslow were given a goal when their shot was saved by Nathan but their striker knocked the ball from his hands and sent it into the net. A protest was raised but the referee gave the goal 2-2. Bedfont went back to playing sloppy football, constantly being caught offside and terrible passing but this did not stop them getting the next goal. Michael laid the ball onto Tommy who side stepped the keeper and calmly sent the ball inot the net to make the score 2-3. Further shots from Nathan, Tommy, Josh, Sam and Jimmy were saved but a great pass from Abbas to Tommy who chipped the CB Hounslow keeper to make it 2-4.

With only minutes left a great run from Connor down the wing and then a terrific pass to Tommy made the final score 2-5.

Bedfont did not play well today and for first 15 minutes were very luckily not to have gone down by a few goals as CB Hounslow dominated the game. It was a great performance by the goal keeper and the defence that stopped that happening.
