Late charge not enough for sports

Sports started brightly in this our 5th league game, which has seen us with 1 away win and 3 defeats. Paul Johnsons team is much changed in the early part of this season, with Billy Jeffrys back at sports for another home debut and Abs and Pablo both on the bench for there 1st game for sports.

We took the lead on 31 minutes after a great james Simmonds finish to chip the keeper and sports looked well on course to record a home win.

Half time came and Chalfont came out with real purpose, they pulled level on51 minutes when Charlie Mitchell had a free header in the 6 yard box. Billy Jefferys was then deemed to have brought down the Chalfont forward on 65 minutes which looked very harsh, Chalfonts adam Morris made no mistake to make it 2-1, sports were then dealt a real cruel blow when the ref deemed Tim Pitts tackle as a back pass, Adam Morris smashed home the free kick from around 7 yards out. Sports then had a real go, Scott Harris made it 3-2 on 80 Minutes and despite plenty of effort sports went down 3-2.
