So the day finally arrived when sports where able to welcome Hayes & Yeading to Bedfont Sports for our 1st ever Home Bostik League game. The day was met by a great crowd and excellent sports support. Sports started brightly and Jack Mills hit the bar early on, however it was Hayes & Yeading who took the lead. Charlie Postance then done everything right, beating the keeper and his marker to somehow find the player on the line when all of there sports fans were already cheering. Hayes & Yeading then showed there class by hitting sports twice in quick succession, on 34 and 37 minutes and it looked all over for sports at 3-0. Big Jeff then gave sports the chance to cheer with an excellent turn on the edge of the box to make it 3-1 at half time.
Sports came out with a real purpose, and the impressive Charlie Postance came close as well as Jack Mills again. However Hayes & Yeading again showed sports that when you get your chances you have to take them, they added a 4th and then a 5th from the spot. Sports then pulled another back but Charlie Postance was ruled offside. Hayes & Yeading then added a 6th which was really harsh on sports who never stopped going at Hayes & Yeading. Charlie Postance then got his reward for all his hard work with a neat finish to end the game 6-2. Sports played there part in a excellent end to end game, and despite the defeat look forward to our next home game and Saturdays away trip to Chipstead in the league
