Sports march On

Sports met a tough well organised Balham in another away day at Colliers Wood who balham ground share with.

Not a great start for sports, as the kit was stuck in traffic and didn't arrive until 2.20pm (sorry lads). Sports started brightly but could not break down a well organised team in Balham, however Balham didn't account for the Wizard of Bedfont whos 33rd minute strike was worth the entrance fee alone. Half time and sports went in 1-0 up.

We started the 2nd half like a train, on 46 minutes Dylan Kearney rounded the keeper to make it 2-0, then the Wizard Darryl Sanders beat 2 men in the box to put sports 3-0 up and cruising. Balham had other ideas and 3 changes all at once sparked them into life, pulling one back straight away and then making sports really have to work when they added a 2nd to make it 3-2. Sports had to call for reinforcements and Jacob Lambe came to the rescue, beating 2 men and the keeper his effort looked like it might be stopped by a man on the line, but Dylan Kearney made sure and smashed the ball home to secure sports a 4-2 victory.
