2 Goals from the returning Wizard sees Sports to Victory

Gaffa Paul Johnson had another Saturday of chasing his team around, missing both Terry Buss and Scott Harris to injury didn't help, Julius was not fit enough to start for the 2nd game running but as always was there !! Big Jeff (driving test !!) was also missing after his impressive display against Walton, youngesters James Greenwood (suspended) and Connagh Wilks (USA college trial) made up the numbers of missing men, however the Wizard had returned for Sports and that's always a big plus.

Sports didn't start great and credit to CB Hounslow they took the game to sports having a number of early shots at the returning Josh Richardson. It was on 23 minutes the Wizard broke the deadlock, Conner Moody turned CB Hounslow full back Harry Driver inside out and crossed to the far post, Baxter helped in back into the 6 yard box and Darryl Sanders headed home unmarked, 1-0 Sports.
Sports were still not at there best but did start to create chances, former Sports Keeper Alex Wines pulled off and excellent save 1 on 1 with Conner Moody after the forward broke free to keep it 1-0 sports at half time.

The 2nd half CB came out and had a real go, without really creating a clear cut chance, they should have been level when there forward dragged it wide 1 on 1 with Richardson. Sports then had the ball in the net through Baxter after he followed up Moodys shot to tap home but the Lino felt he was offside, much to the frustration of the sports supporters. Then on 70 Minutes CB found a way back into the game when the Ref gave a soft Penalty, I'm not sure what it was for and no one can tell me but there was a number of players in the box so he must have seen something. Former Manager Gavin Bamford made it 1-1 from the spot but this then dragged sports back to life. Sanders was now getting more and more space in midfield and his cross come shot on 85minutes seemed to get lost in the lights (it is very dark at Bedfont & Feltham FC) Alex Wines was back peddling an looked like he had the ball under control until he dropped the ball into his own net to gift sports the 3 points.

Another good derby win and a good debut from Joe Goodman, Man of the Match was Michael Kinsella whos impressive midfield display was great to see.
