Saturday night Sports travelled to The Honeycroft home of Uxbridge FC and their impressive new 3G. A bright start from The Sports gave fans an insight into how this game was due to play out, Jake Beck broke the deadlock 10 minutes in which was the start of a goal fest. Makael Scott grabbed 2 for himself shortly after to give Sports a 3-0 lead after only 25 minutes of the game played. Jake Beck added another for himself around the 30 minute mark and big Connagh Wilks wrapped up a perfect half with a big header at the near post for a 5-0 lead as the teams head into half time. Seconds into the second half and Sports looked to continue as they left off, Mark Bitmead converts our 6th of the night, minutes after the same attack down the right hand side and the ball is pulled back for new signing Jordan Hamilton-Olise who scores his first goal in Sports colours and our 7th of the night. After some sloppy defending Sports give away a free kick half way into their half which was punished when the Hilltop player tucked it away for 7-1. Another new signing Ronaldo Flowers grabs his first goal for the Sports 8-1, after impressing with each short appearance so far he is proving to be a real handful for fullbacks. The fun did not stop there as Bitmead scored his second of the night to make it 9-1 until a Sports player is fouled in the box and a penalty was given, Sports fans calling for Gary Ross to step up and take it but Bitmead was on a hat trick and therefore rightfully tucked it home for his 21st goal of the season, his 3rd of the night and Sports' 10th! The perfect 10!
This result leaves Sports 3rd in the Combined Counties Premier Division North, next up Sports face an away day to 4th place Burnham FC at 3pm on Saturday the 30th March 2024 at The 1878 Stadium!
