Welcome to the CCL North!

After snatching a last minute winner away last weekend in the FA Cup, The Sports now turned their attention over to Wilks Park, home of Flackwell Heath as we look to start the new league season strong!

Bedfont lined up with Henry Poole in between the sticks, Charlie Wickham, Trisdon Andrews, Joe Smith and Louis Dailey make up the back line, a midfield 3 of Jordan Ireland (C), Thomas Kanek and Tommy O'Neil, just ahead of them making out our front 3 was Mark Bitmead, Harrison Livingstone and Jake Beck!

Both sides took their time to get into the game as nothing notable happened in the first 20 minutes but on the 24th minute Jethro Odumosu popped up to give the host the lead, 1-0 to Flackwell Heath. 33 minutes in and Mark Bitmead delivers the ball into the box which finds Harrison Livingstone who converts from close range to level the score 1-1! Both teams head in to half time all level as the game looks to be a close contest!

The second half seemed very much like the first with both teams seeming like they would play to a stalemate. As the last 10 minutes of the game was upon us the tide began to change, Flackwell began to ask The Sports back line lost of questions and seemed determined to grab all 3 points! On the 80th minute The Sports gave away a penalty and was punished by Mealing who converts the spot kick giving Flackwell the lead, 2-1. Flackwell continued to attack the Bedfont goal and shortly after taking the lead would end any chance The Sports had of getting back into the game when El Jalaoui leaps up to head in Flackwell's 3rd of the match, 3-1 with 84 minutes gone! Flackwell were not done there when on the 88th minute that man again El Jalaoui snatched his second goal in 4 minutes and finished the game off 4-1 to Flackwell Heath!

Overall a tough result to take for Sports fans as we hoped to start the new league campaign with a win, but welcome to the CCL North! Today's result shows us exactly the task we face as we try to gain our spot back into step 4 football and it will not be an easy ask. The Sports must pick themselves up quickly and look to put this result behind them when we face Wokingham and Emmbrook at Home on Tuesday the 15th August! Get down and support the lads, lets be the 12th man!
