The spell is broken!!!

Rangers played our friends and rivals Staines Lammas today. After losing 3 games in a row it was important for the Rangers to get back to winning form but Staines Lammas were not going to make it easy.

A good start saw an early goal from Dom who looked like a goal scorer today, ably assisted by Will. This gave the Rangers an early lead and the confidence to dominate the game. However Staines had a very different idea and a slip in concentration from the Rangers defence gave them an equaliser. This was followed up by another goal from Staines who had a good spurt of energy putting Rangers under pressure.

Into the second half after a stern team talk from Rob the Rangers came out stronger but like last week just could not finish. There were 4 or 5 great chances all of which missed the target and sailed high over the crossbar. Finally Dom after some nice build up play from the team found the back of the net giving Rangers the equaliser finally. Staines would not give up but could not stop a burst through the middle from Will scoring the winning goal which was for Barry.

Rangers hoped that was the end but the last kick of the game saw Staines hit the bar twice in the last few seconds. Luck was with Rangers and although still not back to full form a better second half was nice to see.
