Wet but Winning

The first really wet horrible Sunday morning this season saw the Rangers welcome Guildford City. After a very shaky start where Guildford dominated, Rangers found their game and after a determined goal from Taylor, one on one with the goalie, scoring on the rebound, Rangers levelled the game.
Not satisfied with one goal a determined Taylor followed up with a second goal putting Rangers 2-1 up at half time.
The strong Guildford City team battled away and kept the pressure on and Charlie was kept on his toes and made some important saves one at point blank range. However a fantastic goal from Lewis on the left, a contender for goal of the season secured the win for Rangers.
The second half was a much stronger performance from the Rangers in difficult conditions, particularly in midfield with Aidan on form running tirelessly throughout.
A pleasing performance all round. A thoroughly deserved 3 points.
