Well what a season....... one could forgive the boys for todays result as the league title was sown up thanks to Virginia Waters losing in the week.....

I made a couple of changes to the starting line up, with Joel coming back into the defence, Zain on the left wing and Georgie starting up front and no Adam today. The boys new what was asked of them and we wanted to finish the season with one final win.....

Today just wasn't our day and for the second week running we came up against another awesome goal keeper and a Virginia Waters team that have improved from when we last played them back in November.

The game started and the home team showed there intent from the off going close on a couple of occasions but for Lavante to stop the shots.... Jack and Georgie came close to opening the deadlock with two great headers from corners but both were saved from the home teams goalkeeper..... the first goal came from a penalty 1-0 Virginia Waters.

Half time came and both players and myself wasn't happy with our performance as we both felt that we hadn't done our selves justice and none of us had turned up.....

we got back into the second half and pressed on the home teams goal but for great goalkeeping and us not having our shooting boots on the score was still 1-0.

Nojus stepped up for a tap in down to a fare mistake from the home teams keeper 1-1....

To say a draw would had been fare would had been unfair as I feel Virginia were the better team on the day and deserved the win, we just wasn't at the races today with everything we done.

I said to the boys how proud I am of them for what they have achieved this season, a league and cup double..... some teams,managers,players can only dream of doing the double and no one can take that away from us......

the hard work starts again in preparation for next season. roll on 2019/20 season.....
